Designer Doodle is a Canadian-owned small business specializing in handmade working and service dog gear, pet accessories, and custom embroidered apparel.
By placing an order through my website, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the following Terms & Conditions, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

Ordering & Payment
Custom Working & Service Dog Gear
All custom working and service dog gear orders begin with purchasing an order deposit. This deposit secures your spot in my production queue and is applied toward your final order total.
After purchasing your deposit, you'll receive an email containing a link to the custom order forms.
Customers are responsible for completing the appropriate forms and providing accurate measurements, design details, and any other information required to complete their order.
Once your order details have been finalized, an invoice will be sent for the remaining balance.
Full payment must be received before production can begin.
Purchasing a deposit does not guarantee a specific completion or delivery date.
Custom Apparel & Accessories
Custom embroidered apparel and accessories can be purchased directly through the website unless otherwise specified.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all sizing, colour, and customization selections before completing their purchase.
Payment is required in full at checkout.
Accepted Payment Methods
Designer Doodle accepts credit cards, PayPal, and e-transfer.
Available payment methods may vary depending on how your order is placed.
Production & Processing Times
All Designer Doodle products are handmade to order unless specifically listed as ready to ship.
Estimated production and processing times are:
Custom Vests, Capes & Harnesses: 5–10 weeks
Accessories (Patches, Leash Wraps, Leashes, etc.): 15–30 days
Custom Embroidered Apparel: As specified on the product listing or at checkout
Ready-to-Ship Items: Shipped within 3–5 days of purchase
Most custom working dog gear orders are currently completed around the 9-week mark.
These timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on order complexity, material availability, current workload, and other circumstances.
Production estimates do not include shipping transit times.
Production Queue
Custom working and service dog gear orders are placed in the production queue once a deposit has been purchased.
However, production cannot begin until all required information, measurements, design details, and remaining payment have been received.
Delays in providing the required information or payment may affect your estimated completion date.
Large & Bulk Orders
Large or bulk orders are welcome!
Additional production time may be required depending on the quantity, complexity, and current workload. Estimated timelines will be discussed when arranging larger orders.
Rush Orders
Rush production may be available for an additional fee, depending on my current workload and availability.
Current rush options include:
Regular Rush (10-Day Rush): Additional 25% of your order subtotal.
Express Rush (48-Hour Rush): Additional 40% of your order subtotal.
Rush fees are calculated before shipping and taxes.
Customers must contact Designer Doodle before purchasing a rush option to confirm availability.
Rush services apply to production time only and do not guarantee a specific delivery date.
Customization & Design Approval
Designer Doodle offers a wide range of customization options, including colours, fabrics, embroidery, patches, and other design elements.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate, including:
Dog measurements and sizing
Fabric and thread colour selections
Names, wording, and spelling
Design placement and customization requests
Any other specifications submitted during ordering
Design Changes
Changes to an order may be possible before production begins.
Once materials have been prepared, embroidery has started, or an order has entered production, changes may no longer be possible.
Additional charges may apply for requested modifications.
Digital Mockups
Digital mockups are available as an optional paid service.
Mockups are generally created closer to the order's production date, although they may be requested earlier.
Once a digital mockup has been completed and provided to the customer, the mockup fee becomes non-refundable.
Please note that digital mockups are visual representations. Minor differences in thread colours, fabric appearance, proportions, and placement may occur in the finished product.
Materials & Product Availability
All products are handmade, and slight variations in appearance, stitching, placement, or measurements may occur.
I do my best to ensure product photos and colour examples accurately represent the finished items. However, colours may appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting, and material availability.
Occasionally, certain fabrics, trims, hardware, or thread colours may become unavailable.
If a selected material is unavailable, I'll contact you to discuss suitable alternatives before proceeding with any significant substitutions.
Copyrighted Designs & Company Logos
Designer Doodle can accommodate a variety of custom embroidery requests, including company logos and other protected designs, when appropriate authorization has been provided.
For company-owned logos, trademarks, or copyrighted artwork, written permission may be required from the rightful owner or an authorized representative.
This permission must specifically authorize Designer Doodle to reproduce the design through embroidery.
Customers are responsible for obtaining any required permissions before production begins.
Designer Doodle reserves the right to decline requests involving designs that cannot be reproduced with appropriate authorization.
Design Reproduction
Designer Doodle may create similar products, colour combinations, layouts, and original design concepts for other customers.
Purchasing a custom product does not automatically grant exclusive rights to a design.
Customer-owned logos and other protected intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
Sizing & Measurements
Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements and selecting the appropriate product size.
Sizing guides are provided as a reference, but individual dogs may vary in shape and proportions, even within the same breed or weight range.
If you're unsure about sizing, I strongly recommend contacting me before placing your order.
Designer Doodle is not responsible for incorrect sizing resulting from inaccurate measurements or information supplied during ordering.
Any discretionary size exchanges are subject to the separate Returns, Refunds, Exchanges & Cancellations Policy.
Product Use & Safety
Designer Doodle products are intended to be used appropriately and in accordance with their design.
Customers are responsible for selecting suitable products for their dog's size, physical development, and intended activities.
Mobility & Guide Handles
Counterbalance and guide handles offered by Designer Doodle are semi-rigid, not fully rigid. Some flexibility, movement, or bending may occur during use.
Mobility-related equipment should only be used when appropriate for the dog's physical maturity, health, training, and abilities.
For safety and ethical reasons, mobility or weight-bearing handles are not offered for puppies or dogs that are not physically mature.
General Product Safety
Customers should regularly inspect their gear for signs of wear, damage, loose stitching, or hardware issues.
Products showing signs of damage should not continue to be used until they have been assessed or repaired.
Designer Doodle is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from improper use, unauthorized alterations, or use of a product outside its intended purpose, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Shipping & Delivery
Designer Doodle ships throughout Canada, the United States, and internationally.
Shipping costs and available services vary depending on the destination, package size, and shipping method selected.
Orders may be shipped using Canada Post, USPS, UPS, or another available carrier.
Shipping Estimates
Shipping estimates are provided by the shipping carrier and are not guaranteed.
Delays may occur due to weather, customs processing, holidays, carrier disruptions, or other circumstances outside my control.
Shipping Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address during checkout.
If an address needs to be changed, please contact me before your order ships.
Once a package has been handed over to the shipping carrier, address changes cannot be guaranteed.
Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect address, refused delivery, or returned package may be the customer's responsibility, where permitted by law.
International Shipping, Customs & Tariffs
International orders may be subject to customs processing, import regulations, duties, or taxes depending on the destination.
For U.S. orders, applicable tariffs and customs fees on affected products are generally incorporated into the shipping charges.
Certain products, such as eligible custom embroidered apparel, may not be subject to the same tariffs.
If an order contains both tariff-affected and tariff-exempt items, any additional applicable charges will be communicated before shipment.
Import regulations and tariff requirements may change without notice.
Order Updates & Communication
Designer Doodle is a one-person business, and I personally manage customer communication, design preparation, production, and shipping.
Order Status Tracker
The online Order Status Tracker is available for custom working and service dog gear orders, including vests, capes, and harnesses.
The tracker allows customers to view their order's progress through the production queue.
Apparel, accessories, and ready-to-ship orders are not included in this tracker.
Customer Communication
Customers are responsible for providing a valid email address and monitoring their inbox for important order-related messages.
Delays in responding to requests for measurements, design clarification, payment, or other required information may affect production timelines.
If a completed order requires confirmation before shipment and no response is received within seven days, Designer Doodle may proceed with shipping to the address provided during checkout, provided no unresolved issue prevents fulfillment.
Please note that email responses may be limited on weekends and during busy production periods.
Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
Due to the handmade and personalized nature of many Designer Doodle products, cancellation and return eligibility varies by product.
Custom Working & Service Dog Gear
Deposits are refundable within 48 hours of purchase. After 48 hours, deposits become non-refundable.
If the remaining balance has been paid, an eligible cancellation before the order reaches the Prepped or In Production stage may qualify for a refund of the remaining payment, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
Custom Embroidered Apparel
Custom embroidered apparel is final sale and non-refundable immediately after purchase for changes of mind or customer-selected customization errors.
Returns & Exchanges
Eligible non-personalized accessories may qualify for returns within 21 days of the shipping date.
Custom-made products are generally not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges, although certain size exchanges may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Ready-to-ship and pre-made products are final sale for change-of-mind returns.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits any mandatory rights or remedies under applicable consumer protection laws.
Website Information & Policy Updates
Designer Doodle makes reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, pricing, photographs, and other website information are accurate.
If an error is identified that affects an order, I will contact the customer to discuss the available options and any applicable refund rights before proceeding.
Designer Doodle may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in business operations, products, or applicable requirements.
The version applicable to an order will generally be the version provided at the time of purchase, subject to applicable law and any changes subsequently agreed upon.
